Like the changes in the seasons, Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer our lives go through seasons of change as well. What season are you in?
Fall
We all fall down and make mistakes. Or adversity strikes us. The adversity can be a decline in health, a decline in our personal relationships or a decline in our finances or a failed business. During this season of change you have the tendency to fall further from yourself, further from the person you thought you knew. Than comes Winter.
Winter
During this season your spirit is chilled, sometimes frozen hence you hibernate and hide your feelings of frustration, hurt and disappointment. You spiral even further out of control into a cold, dark place. A place where depression takes hold of you and the light doesn’t shine. Than without warning, when you least expect it you see a light.
Spring
It is in this season that you start to step out into the light. It is in this season that hope arises in you again. Perhaps a friend, counselor or relative has seen something in you and says something to you that makes you begin to believe again, hope again.
Summer
Summer comes and you’ve embraced your fall and are ready to leave the cold winter. The early light of dawn leaps you into the sun where your spirit is warmed. It’s here that you start to breathe again and dream again. A new person is awoken, stronger and better than before. The wings of adversity now carry you.
You need to believe that God did this. It didn’t happen by chance, this is God working in your life. Embrace Him, be grateful to Him. Thank Him for the adversity because now you are stronger than you ever thought you could be.

As I think back on my life, I can recall times when I was in each of those seasons. But although I felt alone or hopeless, the one thing that remained the same was God’s love for me. My pastor said something in service that I already knew, but never thought about like this: Jesus loves us so much that even if we were the only lost soul on earth he would have still died JUST FOR US. Just for one soul, God would have still sent his only son to die for our sins. No matter what season we are in at the moment, we have to embrace life and remember that we all have a purpose. Great read! I needed this! We just finished a series on the fruit of spirit. If we plant a seed of faith in all areas of our life, as we go through those seasons, we will grow and reap the fruit of those seeds.
Galatians 5:22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives:love, joy, peace patience ,kindness, goodness, faithfulness gentleness and self control. There is no law against these things!
