I am in awe of this woman, Haben Girma. I first learned of Haben Girma when she was honored by President Obama as a White House Champion of Change. Haben Girma is the first Deafblind graduate of Harvard Law School. She advocates for the civil rights of persons with disabilities. As if I couldn’t be more inspired by her achievement, I came across the two videos below of Haben Girma learning to surf. Amazing, despite her disabilities she pushes forward.
