Cut back on salt, butter and vegetable oil by adding flavor with spices.

Meals are made flavorful by adding various spices.  You don’t have to fry your food or saturate your meals with salt, butter and vegetable oil to make a meal savory. Experiment with various spices, herbs, garlic, vinegar and lemon juice.

If you are not a natural cook, invest in a cookbook.  Spice up your cooking by experimenting with cuisines from different parts of the world.  I am particularly fond of Caribbean and Italian cuisine.  What is your favorite cuisine?
